Cheap Wii Games… Are they Really Worth It?
August 27, 2008
The Wii took the world by storm when it was released with the promise of family entertainment. The Wiimote and Nunchuck were innovative ways to play. Motion technology was built into the wireless Wii motes. With innovation, comes controversy.
Wonderful games from their flagship franchises, such as Zelda, Super Mario, and Metroid made brilliant appearences on the Wii console, but for every great game there were 20 cheap, worthless, thrown together games. These games were made for one purpose, and that purpose was for unsuspecting parents to buy these games for their kids.
The sad part about this is the games were awful. Six-year-old kids got bored with them, but you already bought it. Its too late. When you try to trade the game at the local Gamestop, all they give you is a two dollar trade in credit. From poor graphics to horrible controls, these cheap Wii games are a sore on the Wii console.
I say: pass these games up. Get your kid a game you will actually play. A good rule of thumb? Spend more then twenty dollars!
