Must have games of 2008
April 21, 2008
2008 should be a year for gaming. Here are some games that should be great.
Grand Theft Auto IV: Set in Liberty City, the same locale as Grand Theft Auto III, this game sports realistic graphics and the same formula that made all the other GTA games fun to play. For PS3 and Xbox 360.
Civilization Revolution: Civilization Revolution is a version of the popular PC game, only for consoles. The player picks a civilization, and it from the Ancient Age to the Information Age and beyond. For Nintendo DS, PS3, and 360.
Madden NFL 2009: Madden’s always fun. Too bad my ‘08 version will be outdated now.
Metal Gear Solid 4: The Metal Gear series was very popular on PS1, and has continued to be very popular on subsequent systems. This one will involve Solid Snake dealing with the effects of advanced premature aging and forced to stop Liquid Ocelot’s private military corporation from achieving global domination. For PS3
Haze: Hailed as PS3’s “Halo-killer” Haze’s release date is rapidly approaching. An FPS set in the 2040’s and with game play similar to that of the Halo series, this game will either be a major hit or a disappointing let down. For PS3.
Soulcaliber IV: This series is, in my opinion, a great fighting series that is the best on the market today. Namco knows how to make games, and this sequel is slated to have great online play. For PS3 and Xbox 360.
Star Wars: The Force Unleashed: Ever wonder what happened in between the creation of the Empire in Revenge of the Sith and the destruction of the Death Star in A New Hope? Well, now is your chance to live the action. You play as Darth Vader’s secret apprentice, who reports directly to Vader himself. For Nintendo DS, PS2, PS3, PSP, Wii, and Xbox 360.
Gears of War 2: The first game was awesome, and let’s hope the sequel is too. As third person shooters go, this is one of the best out there. For Xbox 360.
Resistance 2: Sequel to the PS3 hit Resistance: Fall of Man. The teaser video for this game is our featured video, check it out. For PS3.
There are a lot of worthy games out there. 2008 should be a great year for gamers.
