Linux declared “hacker proof”
March 31, 2008

Read about this on Digg…
At the CanSecWest conference this past Friday, Linux, Windows Vista, and Mac OS X Leopard, were all put to the test in a three way hacking challenge. The results solidified what Internet bloggers and forumers have been saying for years. The first OS to be hacked was Mac OS X Leopard after a mere two minutes of work on it by an Independent Security Evalulator’s employee, who went home with $10,000 and a new laptop. Windows Vista was successfully hacked after two days by an attendee named Shane Maculay, who said he “exploited a cross platform bug that took advantage of Java to circumvent Vista’s security system.” But even though several attendees attempted to hack Linux, they were unable to do it. By the end of the conference, Linux was officially declared “hacker proof”.
So what do we learn from this? Pretty much only what we knew before. Leopard’s security isn’ very good, Vista’s is above average, and Linux’s is excellent. If you want to see a detailed head to head analysis between Vista and Leopard, just look through some of my older posts, there’s one that I did a few months back. This is Kolametal, signing off.
wtf is wrong with my iPod touch?

Every time I try and unlock it, it stays locked. It’ll just freeze up at random times, and stays locked longer and longer each time. I’ve tried resetting it, but that didn’t work…if anyone can figure out what’s wrong with it, please drop a comment, I’d be very grateful. Otherwise, I’m just going to take it into the Apple Store this weekend and see if they can fix it.

Apologies for the sudden change in design

Hey folks, Biojunkie has just went through a major upgrade. Mainly through the backend of the site. So please bear with us until we get to grips with the new upgrade.
With the blog being upgraded, i’m not entirely sure whether old themes/designs are supported. But expect things to be back on track very soon.
Regards,
Frost
